Mushroom Cloud is a richly layered mixed-media composition where organic forms, digital structures, and imagined landscapes converge. Vibrant pinks, blues, greens, and bursts of golden yellow move through intricate networks of cellular shapes, mechanical elements, binary code, and flowing lines, creating a world that feel simultaneously biological and technological.
The artwork has an unusual history. Its earliest elements were created around 2016, beginning with turmeric stains, hand-drawn imagery, constellation-like markings, and India ink. The unfinished composition remained untouched for nearly a decade before being revisited and transformed in 2026.
Rather than starting over, I worked with the forms already present, allowing new patterns, structures, and connections to emerge. What began as a collection of seemingly unrelated elements gradually developed into an intricate imagined environment.
The result reflects the unpredictable nature of creation itself — a world in which organic growth and underlying systems appear to coexist, inviting viewers to discover new details and interpretations with every look.
